More details:

This clock is  52 inches high and is made of very attractive walnut.  It probably dates from 1880 and would have been made in Germany , rather than Austria.  It is an eight day clock and is extremely accurate. The strike is on a bell and sounds the hour and the half hour.   It is unusual to get a clock of this calibre  at such a reasonable price.

A  lovely example of an Edwardian Timepiece, made in France around 1910 .  Five and a half inches high with handle raised in really good condition. It has the original leather case, well used! and the cylinder escapement  and key are also original.  There are various repair marks inside the case, the first being in 1926, so it seems to have been well loved.  The clock is gilded to a satin finish, so does not need to be polished
