About UsDevon Antique Clocks is at present a ‘one man band’ run by myself , a retired Optometrist , but with a family history of Horology dating from the mid 19th century.
I have always dabbled as a hobby, but since retiring it has become more of an obsession. I have no Horology qualifications,except experience, but have joined the British Horology Institute as an associate member and have found the qualified members to be a great help ,especially when I get stuck with a problem!
I do not undertake clock repairs for customers as there are plenty of qualified clock and watch repairers out there trying to earn a living and I have no wish to compete with them. I do ,of course, restore and repair clocks that I have bought myself and sell them in Bideford at Mills Antiques in Mill Street - Website

You may notice that there are no ‘silly ‘prices (yet) . The reason for this is that most of the clocks, I buy as wrecks and although considerable time is spent on the restoration ,this is not reflected in the price. I am not trying to earn a living, although some extra money is always welcome.
